About the role
FTI Consulting is home to one of the world’s leading independent economic and financial consulting practices, helping clients understand today’s economic, financial and regulatory opportunities and challenges.
We help our clients navigate legal, regulatory and international arbitration proceedings while supporting strategic decision making and public policy debates around the world. Delivering incisive interpretation of complex economic issues has made us a global leader in this field.
We have offices in Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Sydney, and would consider applications to work in any of these locations.
We are seeking to recruit professionals and experts in economics and finance with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in areas including:

- Economic forecasting and financial modelling
- Development of business cases
We look for people that can take complex problems and use strong analytical frameworks and communication skills to deliver robust solutions to clients in straightforward, non-technical language
What you'll do
- Undertake economic research and analysis to inform our clients’ decisions – including economic, financial and econometric modelling
- Produce reports, presentations and other client deliverables
- Contribute to business development, including identifying new opportunities and preparing proposals and bids
- Build teams, assist in bringing additional expertise into our business
- Connect with our global network of experts, strengthen relationships with our existing clients in business and in government and reach out to new clients with new problems to be resolved.
- Develop your existing expertise and acquire new skills by participating in internal and external training and educational opportunities
How You’ll Grow
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a proven track record in applying their professional expertise in economics and finance to join the relatively new, but rapidly growing, Australian practice of a large and established global firm. The persons we recruit over coming months will have the opportunity to shape and define the areas they will work in and who they will work with, while having the support of a large international network of experts and colleagues behind them. We regularly form project teams from across our global network and you will have opportunities to work on international issues and overseas.

- Evidence of the capacity to develop and maintain professional relationships with leaders in government and industry
- Evidence of strengths in teamwork and in the development of teams of professionals
