Consultant, Financial Crime Technology | Forensic Technology

About the Role

Our Forensic Technology team in Mumbai works with corporations, governments and law firms to meet with legal, regulatory and investigative demands by leveraging our skills to enable our clients to more confidently govern, secure, find, analyze and rapidly understand their data in the context of compliance and risk. 

As part of the Mumbai based team, the individual will be cross-trained in various forensic technology skills and will assist on all phases of our projects. They will also work closely with the wider global Technology team. 

What You’ll Do

• Liaise with clients and project managers regarding client requests and manage expectations
• Co-ordinate closely with colleagues within and across teams to manage the delivery of client requirements.
• Develop/ create Project initiation documents
• Analyse functional & system processes and business requirements
• Create Functional & Technical Specifications document, in alignment with solution capabilities and business requirements
• Identifying data requirements and data-mapping between source and destination systems
• Develop Test Plan, Test Cases, and conduct System Testing
• Assist/Manage Integration testing and UAT process, including execution of Test plan
• Travel as required to ensure effective management of case activities.

How You’ll Grow

• Working as part of a cross functional team that manages all areas related to financial crime prevention, detection and management
• Receiving coaching from senior members of the team

Basic Qualifications

• Understanding of AML/ KYC/ Fraud and Financial Crime related terminology
• Experience and expertise in at least 2 of the following:
  • AML transaction monitoring system implementation
  • Customer Segmentation and Risk scoring system implementation
  • AML and/ or Fraud management Scenario Tuning and Optimization
  • Reporting and optimization of AML and Fraud management processes
  • Compliance analytics, metrics, dashboards and reporting
  • Unit and Integration testing (UIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Should have experience in a Transaction monitoring solution (AML/ Fraud/ etc.)
• Sound understanding and experience of full Software Development Lifecycle
• Technical and functional expertise in Database testing projects
• Understanding of data model and ETL architecture
• Experience in writing SQL queries required, candidates with some scripting knowledge preferred
• Experience in handling (XML, JSON) document file format
• Ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders to resolve outstanding cases & queries and report to management process gaps or efficiencies
• An ability to solve complex problems with well thought out innovative solutions.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills both internally and externally.
• Flexibility with working hours and and the ability to work in a cross-functional team.
• An ability to work independently in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment.
• Consultant must be ready for short-term and long-term travel across India and out of India.
