About the Role:
We provide our clients with a comprehensive view of strategic communications that leverages our integrated suite of services, including financial communications, corporate reputation, transaction communications and public affairs in all the major markets around the world.
• Ensure client programmes are agreed and project plans are in place
• Generate supportive media coverage for clients by drafting press releases and other media assets, engaging with journalists, and arranging client events
• Work alongside colleagues to ensure timescales and quality assurance are adhered to
• Manage client expectations and anticipate their needs
• Anticipate potentially challenging situations and evaluate alternatives with senior team
• Assist senior team members in creatively preparing and delivering the client programme
• Provide strategic advice to a portfolio of clients, manage accounts on a day-to-day basis and develop excellent relationships with clients
• Focus on client retention through exemplary service delivery
• Deliver research proposals
• Awareness of wider trends within the industry and ability to think creatively to expand offering and/or client base
•Proactively network with media and industry contacts, as well as potential clients
• Share knowledge, insights and experience with colleagues
• Develop relationships with other teams within FTI
• Experience dealing with the media
• Issues management and crisis preparedness experience
• Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
• Strong media relations skills
• Excellent organisational and planning skills
• Ability to build strong rapport/relationships at all levels within FTI Consulting and client organisations
• Time management and the ability to prioritise a varied workload
• Ability to work effectively within a busy team
• Takes a pragmatic and ‘can do’ approach
• Understanding of relevant compliance requirements when communicating on behalf of pharmaceutical companies
• In-depth understanding of pharmaceutical and/or wider healthcare industry across key functions and geographies
• Ability to creatively think through client tasks and problems to solve complex challenges, issues and meet client objectives
• Understanding of different areas of communications and applicability to Life Sciences and Healthcare clients
• Experience and understanding of working across digital and social media channels
